Commenting since Hywel Dda Health Board gave approval to consult the local population on three options for the future of Health Services, Joyce Watson and  Eluned Morgan AM said:

“Across Wales, we have seen major investments into NHS services by the Welsh Government.  This consultation gives us the chance to speak up and have our say for some of that investment to come to West Wales.  All options keep Withybush and Glangwili open, with the opportunity for a new build that can deliver the healthcare we’ll expect in 20 or 30 years’ time.

Over the coming weeks, we will be meeting with members of our own Party locally and the wider public to discuss the options on the table.  This isn’t the end of the discussion it is just the beginning because we have no option but to get this right.  We must work together, across political lines, to plan for an NHS in West Wales that is fully staffed, well-resourced and that looks to the future so that patients receive the best care and the best outcomes possible.”

Eluned Morgan went on to say: “I have invited Hywel Dda Health Board to come along to my Health and Wellbeing day on Friday at the Pater Hall, Pembroke Dock where I am sure they will be more than happy to speak and listen to the views of the public.”
