AM asks for speedy resolution to A40 closure

Plaid Cymru Mid and West AM Simon Thomas asked for a statement by the Welsh Government on the closure of the A40 between Llanwrda and Llandovery.

The Welsh Government said: “The A40 between Llandovery and Llanwrda was closed on 18 April due to the partial collapse of a water culvert. On 25 April the road was partially reopened and the diversion route through Llangadog removed. Traffic signals will continue to be in operation to allow the completion of the works, which we anticipate taking approximately two weeks.”

Mid and West AM Simon Thomas commented: “I will continue to press for a quick resolution for people travelling along this road. The closure has caused widespread disruption for many people.”
