Dating app Badoo has revealed the Regions in the UK where you are most likely to meet your match!
****
Dating app Badoo has delved into their UK database and compiled a list of the ‘Most right-swiped Regions’ based on their 18-30 year old users. See full list below:
Scotland – 522,683,388
Greater London – 455,300,951
Wales – 370,126,458
South East – 312,821,663
West Midlands – 233,846,537
Yorkshire and the Humber – 102,991,911
East of England – 164,253,510
East Midlands – 136,348,163
South West – 96,111,222
North West – 89,698,258
North East – 63,054,221
Northern Ireland – 41,774,751
Isle of Man – 22,202,715
With Scotland coming in on top, accumulating a whopping 522 million right-swipes in the past year alone… Scots are clearly on the lookout for love! Badoo also found that 7.8% of Scottish matches were within close proximity of universities such as Edinburgh, Glasgow and St Andrews.
Shockingly, London came in as second on the list, with 455 million right swipes. Interestingly, Badoo found that the most ‘bumped into’
locations across the city were Oxford Circus, Kings Road and the O2 Arena (clearly similar taste in music has an effect on people’s decision to swipe right!).
Other regions topping the list are Wales (370M), the South East (312M) and West Midlands (233M).
Within each region it’s not surprising that a high percentage of the matches are surrounding the cities with London, Manchester and Birmingham accounting to a whopping 30% of singles around the country, coming in very close to the UK national average of 34%.
So if you’re looking for love and don’t live in the top 3 regions, it might be worth to consider moving home….
