NOT SUCH A FAMILY AFFAIR: HARDWORKING BRITS ARE MORE LIKELY TO KEEP A PROMISE TO THEIR BOSS THAN THEIR GRAN
* NEW RESEARCH FROM KIA MOTORS REVEALS WE BREAK ON AVERAGE SEVEN PROMISES A YEAR
New research has revealed the top ten people Brits try their hardest to keep their promises to – with more people saying they try to keep promises they make to their work colleagues, bosses and even dentist than those made to their own grandmother.
The research, commissioned to celebrate the launch of the Kia Promise also revealed that, when a promise is broken, it is most likely to happen within one hour.
The most commonly broken promises are “let’s keep in touch”, “I’ll be back on time” and “I’ll do it later” whilst the research shows us to be a nation of loyal binge watchers as “I won’t watch this series without you” is the promise we are least likely to break.
On average we break seven promises a year, but it’s not all bad news, as we are keeping more than we break with an average of 13 promises kept a year; and only five per cent agreeing with the statement “promises are made to be broken”.
Stephen Kitson, Director of Corporate Communications at Kia Motors UK Ltd., commented “This research shows that as a nation we set high store by the promises we make. At Kia we believe in keeping our promises to our customers, and that’s why we’ve introduced the Kia Promise to reassure our customers that when they purchase a Kia, they are getting the very best.”
The research has been conducted on behalf of Kia to celebrate the launch of the Kia Promise. The Kia Promise aims to build lasting relationships with their customers. The seven key benefits include: seven-year warranty, seven-day insurance and a free excess return fee for one year,
24/7 roadside assistance with RAC, click and collect, online service booking, family-like care and accident aftercare.
