Public Appeal!
A local woman is hoping that members of the general public are able to assist her in locating a man who came to her rescue this morning (July 15) at Days Motor Park, situated in Sandy Road Llanelli. Cara James was driving her Blue Volkswagen Polo home to Burry Port after a morning hike at Pen Y Fan in the Brecon Beacons when her car tyre ruptured. When she was on the lower part of Sandy Road at around 7am, one of her car tyres sustained the blowout causing her to pull over into the layby of the ex car dealership.
As many of us know a tyre blowout is a scary thing to happen at the wheel. A man described as being in his mid forties with a pale complexion was out running and stopped to assist Cara in her hour of need. Not only did he check that she was okay but he also changed the car tyre for her so she could resume her journey home safely, he went by the name of Daniel. With regards to clothing the description given is that Daniel was wearing a skull cap and also lime green sports clothing.
Cara James told The West Wales Chronicle:
“I’m so thankful right now at the act of human kindness, it’s coming over me in waves. I did thank the man who told me his name was Daniel. He said during conversation that he used to run frequently and was out running for the first time in months, it was his first time back (this morning) when he passed me and stopped to help. Obviously at this time in the morning not many people were around and with it being a Sunday the roads were extremely quiet.
“If it helps, Daniel also said that he used to work in a garage. I’m presuming that he may have been from the Pwll area as he didn’t look like he’d been running for that long. I’d appreciate any help with locating him, his help has meant more that he knows. We genuinely need more people in the world like this.”
If anyone knows someone by the name of Daniel who fits the description possibly from the Pwll area, please get in touch with editor: grace@westwaleschronicle.co.uk or message our Facebook page.
