ITV CYMRU WALES CELEBRATES THE BEST AT THE ROYAL WELSH SHOW

ITV Cymru Wales will be on air, online and across social media throughout the Royal Welsh Show.

Coast & Country celebrates the wonderful sights and sounds of Llanelwedd with an hour-long peak-time programme on Tuesday 24th July at 8pm. The series will also have a lookback at some of the highlights of the week on Friday 27th July – again at 8pm.

Presenters Ruth Wignall and Andrew Price will be speaking to some great characters across the week. Said Ruth: “We are meeting some of the many amazing people who bring the show to life.”

“We’ve got everything from food and flower experts to the champion farmers who are the backbone of the show.”

Added Andrew: “I’m looking forward to being back at Llanelwedd and seeing many of the traditional country crafts and skills that make our rural communities so special.”

On Wales at Six, presenter Carl Edwards will be leading the coverage with live reports every evening.

“As a local boy I absolutely love getting back home to Mid Wales to cover a show that gets bigger and better every year”, he writes.

“It is so important that our agricultural industry and our rural communities are reflected across the whole of Wales. That’s why the show and our comprehensive coverage of it is so great to work on.

“I’m always incredibly proud to broadcast live from the balcony of our pavilion on the main ring. So if you see Ruth or me up there for Wales at Six give us a wave!”

In addition to the TV coverage, ITV Cymru Wales will be providing regular updates on social media platforms of all the highlights from the showground.

Follow the Facebook page for live coverage and on Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #ITVRWS to keep up to date with the week’s events, as well as behind-the-scenes action from the presenters on the ground.

If you are visiting the showground, you can pop into the ITV pavilion right on the main ring to say hello. You might even want to try your hand at presenting the weather – and take some photos on your mobile phone to share with your friends.
