An NSPCC Cymru spokesperson said: “Jones was handed a position of trust and responsibility over children which he abused appallingly to carry out these sickening attacks.
“His victims must be commended for their bravery in speaking out about their abuse, helping ensure that their attacker is now behind bars. We hope that they are receiving support to rebuild their lives.
“This case shows, once again, how victims of past abuse in football and elsewhere can achieve justice when they come forward to report what happened to them however long ago the offences took place.”
The NSPCC and the Football Associations of the UK, including the FAW, have a football helpline to report sexual abuse available 24 hours a day on 0800 023 2642.
