Disney UK has launched a 24 Hour Challenge to encourage families to be more active together this summer with a chance to support Unicef UK’s work. The free, family-friendly challenge can be done anywhere at any time, and encourages teams of families and friends to clock up a total of 24 hours of physical activity together between June and September.

24 fun, active “missions’‘ such as Super Dance Off with Elastigirl, Super Selfie Treasure Hunt, and the Incredible Monkey Bar Mission have been created for families or teams to complete over the summer. The missions are inspired by the Parr family’s superpower skills as featured in the new Disney•Pixar’s Incredibles 2 film releasing this July 13th, and can be accessed at 24HourChallenge.com.

Families and friends can create teams of between two to 10 people and set up their own 24 Hour Challenge page via www.24hourchallenge.com.  Families who log their time every week will have a chance of winning incredible prizes, including 10 weekly prize bundles worth £75 each and, if they complete all 24 hours, a holiday to Disneyland Paris to experience and take part in the Magic Run Weekend from 21st – 23rd September 2018.

To help motivate teams further this summer, all money raised by families taking part in the challenge will go to Unicef UK to help provide children with clean water, life-saving food, vaccines, and a safe space to grow up happy and healthy.

Marianthi O’Dwyer, Vice President, Healthy Living UK, The Walt Disney Company said: “We are proud to announce the launch of Disney’s 24 Hour Challenge with Unicef UK as part of our Healthy Living Commitment which uses the power of our characters and storytelling, in this case – The Incredibles – to inspire families to be more active. The missions are designed to be simple, accessible and most importantly, fun, for all to enjoy together. We hope that families have an incredible summer clocking up 24 hours of activity together, while helping to build a better world for children.”

Mike Penrose, Executive Director, Unicef UK said: “Unicef UK is thrilled to be working with Disney to build a better world for children. The 24 Hour Challenge is a fantastic opportunity for families to join forces in helping Unicef to deliver vital resources for children to lead happier, healthier lives. We look forward to following the incredible family missions being completed over the summer.”
