Guess what people, it’s finally here.

It’s been a long time coming since I first heard about this happening back in 2013-2014 and it certainly has been well worth the wait. The trailer looks (absolutely magical) and as Jason Momoa describes this film(and I agree) as Star Wars under water.

We saw back in November of last year that Jason Momoa made his debut as Aquaman in Justice League. I enjoyed every moment but found it disappointing that fans didn’t respond as well to it as I had. I don’t care who thinks otherwise! I also really enjoyed Batman v Superman which Jason made his first appearance, though it may have been only a few seconds (even that was enough to get me pumped for the King Of The Seven Seas).

I’ve also been eager to see Amber Heard dig in deeper to the role of Mera. I enjoyed her part in Justice League although short, she seemed to be a strong character. She seems like she could be a strong guide for Arthur Curry/Aquaman.

I never really pictured Nicole Kidman to play the role of Queen Atlanna aka Arthur Curry’s mother. But Imust admit she does look perfect for it. I’ve always admired her talent for acting and I always enjoy watching her. I’m reminded of her role in Batman Forever as she played the part of Dr. Chase Meridian, so at least she has some experience with the DC Universe. I’m interested to see what she brings to this role and can’t wait to see.

I’m also interested to see Patrick Wilson take on the part of Orm aka Ocean Master, who you may remember in movies such as Insidious, The Conjuring and earlier this years The Commuter. To see that he’s teaming up with one of the most awesome villains of all time (Black Manta) played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. This just seems to be one of the greatest DC casts I’ve ever seen and to add actors such as Dolph Lundgren, Willem Dafoe and Djimon Hounsou just makes it even more amazing.

Director James Wan seems to have pulled off yet another incredible piece of cinematic footage and this film is without a doubt at the top of my list for this year’s selection of what to see.

Aquaman releases in UK theatres December 14th.
