NEWS UPDATE: Pair Remanded In Custody After Water Street Incident!

NEWS UPDATE

A man and woman appeared at Llanelli Law Courts today (August 3) from police custody accused of a joint charge of affray. The female was also accused of intimidation of a witness and the male was also accused of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear.

The alleged offences were said to have taken place in Carmarthen’s Water Street on August 1 (this week).

Bernadette Thomas, age 35 of Llys Y Felin in Carmarthen pleaded not guilty to the charges put before her.

Hafod David James Jones, age 24 of Llys Gwehydd, Water Street Carmarthen also entered pleas of not guilty.

Wyn David Chair of the Magistrates Bench deemed the offences so serious that he remanded Thomas and Jones in custody until they are to appear at Swansea Crown Court on September 3.
