Ammanford Cricket Club have reached the final of the Welsh Cricket Cup after dismissing their opponents Cardiff Cricket Club for a meagre total of 87 runs after 29 overs. It was quite some viewing last Sunday (August 19).
A devastating match winning performance from the bowling of left arm paceman Matthew Fisher ended up with personal figures of 8 overs including 1 maiden taking 6 wickets and only conceded 19 runs which tore the heart out of Cardiff’s batting line up.
Ammanford easily reached their target of 88 runs losing only 2 wickets in the process. So the match result was Ammanford winning by 8 wickets with the man of the match, without a shadow of a doubt being Matthew Fisher. He was applauded off the field by his team mates and quite rightly so.
