The West Wales Chronicle have received several complaints throughout the duration of the day regarding a current news style pamphlet that is circulating Llanelli and surrounding areas currently!
The actual title states Llanelli Chronicle and at a glance, one could mistake it through its usage of the word Chronicle as being an affiliate to The West Wales Chronicle.
We can assure our readers that this isn’t the case whatsoever and can only apologise for any distress (through no fault of our own) caused. We are neutral politically and this will always be the case.
The four page pamphlet brought to our attention (August 24) which states delivered FREE (throughout our community at no cost to the taxpayer) features bilingual articles courtesy of the Welsh Conservative Team with Elli Ward/Llanelli Town Councillor Sion Davies.
The West Wales Chronicle has previously had a monthly magazine called The Community Chronicle and this is nothing to do with Welsh Conservatives or any party political affiliation either.
The West Wales Chronicle has tried contacting Llanelli Town Councillor Sion Davies several times, for a full explanation on his reasoning for title choice! We are still awaiting his response at time of publishing. Also The Welsh Conservative Party have been contacted for a comment.
