The female motorist who died following a road traffic collision involving a single car on the M4 motorway on Sunday (August 26) has been named as Christine Carpenter, 66, from Coed Hirwaun, Port Talbot.
Christine’s family has released the following tribute:
“Her loving family are devastated to lose such a loving, caring person so suddenly.
“Christine will be sorely missed by her loving partner Ged, and two sons Ross and Tom and all her family and friends.”
Christine Carpenter died after the car she was driving, a white Mitsubushi Colt, collided with the central reservation on the eastbound carriageway of the M4 near junction 40.
South Wales Police wish to thank those members of the public who stopped to provide assistance at the time of the collision. They are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed it or the manner that the car was being driven ‘immediately prior’ to the incident to contact them on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 and quote reference 1800325149.
