Police Appeal On Assault Where Victim Sustained Swelling To The Head And Black Eye

Police are appealing for information following an assault in Carmarthen that left the victim with a black eye.

The victim – a 25-year-old man – was walking along Lammas Street during the early hours of Saturday, August 4 when he saw a taxi pull up in the taxi rank.

An unknown man got out of the taxi and began to shout and swear. His shouts were not aimed at anyone in particular, but the victim asked if he was ok.

The man appeared to take offence, and punched the victim to the head. He sustained a black eye and swelling.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has information that might help the enquiry, is asked to contact police by calling 101.
