LLANELLI TOWN CENTRE DEBATE

FFORWM LLANELLI FORUM will hold its first public debate on

Wednesday 12 September 2018, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Selwyn Samuel Centre, Lliedi Room

With the participation of Llanelli Town councillors David Darkin, Siôn Davies and John Jenkins.

The discussion will include the Business Improvement District and the future for Llanelli Town Centre

The press are invited to be present throughout this event and may film and record freely.

• Participants are being asked to answer the following questions:

Question 1

What are your views on tackling business rates, lowering rents for traders in the Town Centre, and free parking?

Question 2

What effect do you think Llanelli’s Business Improvement District has had?

Question 3

How do you see the future for Llanelli Town Centre?

• The questions will be taken one by one, with each participant answering in turn.
• The floor will then be open for questions on that particular topic.
• Once the set questions are finished, the floor will be open for other questions and general discussion, time permitting.

 Those wishing to speak from the floor will be invited to fill in a short form stating their name and place of residence. Forms will be collected as they come and handed to the Chairman, who will invite speakers in order of arrival.

 A record will be kept of the interesting suggestions, to be used as a basis for a press release and, if appropriate, communication with relevant local government or other bodies.
