The Happytime Murders: Review.
Written by Adam Roberts. September 4th, 2018.
In all consideration I cannot really see myself having to say a lot about this particular motion picture. The Happytime Murders isn’t all that much to get excited about, and whole thing really is just an adult version of the muppets. I wasn’t really that curious in viewing it and quite honestly I didn’t find the trailer something to get hyped about.
It’s all basically just a bunch of silly nonsense that we’ve all seen before, with a ton of innuendos and foul language. Imagine a combination between the Muppets, Family Guy and Roger Rabbit. Plus, for a silly murder mystery film it was very easy to predict who the killer was.
Now to be fair this film did have a couple of scenes that made me chuckle. And I seriously mean a couple. But as for Melissa McCarthy as Detective Connie Edwards, I can’t see any difference from the characters she’s played before. Yeah, she’s funny but I can’t say I don’t find her very repetitive in casting roles.
As I stated before, I genuinely didn’t get excited about this film and it’s not one I can see myself watching in the near future.
I give The Happytime Murders a rating of 4 out of 10. I can’t give a higher rating than that.
Thanks for reading.
