Three Days Of Activities For Three Local Charities

People travelled from far and wide to enjoy three days of activities to support three local charities at the Selwyn Samuel Centre last weekend (September 7th-9th).

Friday night saw renowned professional London Medium Roy Sunley address a gathering in the Riverside Cafe enjoying a Welsh Psychic Supper, supporting children in our community with Type 1 Diabetes via Candy Free Kids.

Roy delivered an evidential evening and said:
“I’ve received a fabulous Welsh welcome from the people of Llanelli and have loved my visit to your beautiful town and meeting Sian Caiach (Chair of Llanelli Rural Community Council) who came along to support the event.”

Over 500 people converged in the Arena at the centre for Saturday’s big festival exhibition in aid of Candy Free Kids and Ty Bryngwyn Hospice and enjoyed an entire day of free workshops, talks and demonstrations. Llanelli’s own Rhian Thompson, Miss Curves Ireland opened the exhibition along with Owen Morgan, founder of The World Health Heroes and the festival organiser Angela Medway-Smith of Cariad Spiritual.

Children had a fun packed day of free activities including yoga, fairy tale meditation, singing, drumming and magic. There was also a bouncy castle and a Fairy & Wizard Trail. Adult workshops included exploring holistic health, numerology, sound healing, dowsing, and much more was on offer.

Angela said:
“I am absolutely thrilled to create this event for the people of Llanelli and at the same time support two fantastic charities. Families came for the whole day as there was so much variety on offer. Feedback has been fantastic, I hope that each and every person who came along was able to take something positive from the day.”

Sunday saw the centre transformed with a magical tea light lit spiral Labyrinth and a whole day of transformational workshops with yoga, guided meditation and a fabulous sound bath in aid of Latch, Wales’ Children’s Cancer Charity.

This event is a collaboration between Angela and other local fundraisers which are sound healer Shelly Underhill-Savage and yoga teacher Richard Rees.

Shelly Underhill-Savage works under Asis 🌟 Star Guardian of Sound Healing & Soul Art.

Angela said added:
“We were thrilled to be joined by the West Wales Co-ordinator for Latch and the Mayoral Party who took part in the day. Latch do such fabulous work supporting our children and it is an honour to raise money for them; I alone know of four children in Llanelli receiving support.

“I am so grateful to the Town and Rural Community Councils for their support this weekend also. The impact that these charities have supporting people in our community goes unmeasured; they are unsung heroes. It warms my heart to know that local people understand the need they fulfil and have turned out in their hundreds to give support and enjoy the festival.”
