A recent event held on Friday the 7th of September saw Pembrey and Burry Port Friends of Tenovus Cancer Care hold a Barn Dance in the Royal British Legion in Burry Port. It was hosted by Paula and Steve Eldridge with musical entertainment provided by the Tenovus Sing with Us choirs from Carmarthen and Llanelli branches.
Carmarthen Ukuleles were outstanding and Paul Amor’ caller for the evening wowed the crowds, he did a simply outstanding job. Everyone had a wonderful time joining in the dancing and showing some signature moves. There was a prize for the best dressed barn dancer with an auction, raffle and tantalizing refreshments.
During the evening the Pembrey and Burry Port Friends of Tenovus Cancer Care presented with a cheque for an outstanding £7,916.78 to the Regional Fundraising Manager.
