Commenting on reports that Welsh Government-owned Cardiff Airport made a pre-tax loss of £6.63m last year, Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Economy & Transport, Russell George said:
“This £6.6m loss comes hot off the heels of a Welsh Government announcement of a £6m cash injection for the airport back in March.
“Welsh Conservatives will continue to support efforts to make the airport a success, but where Welsh taxpayers’ money is at risk, questions must be asked.
“It’s important that the airport gets to a position where it can secure substantial private investment.”
