Neath body discovery – update
Police investigating the discovery of a body on the banks of the River Neath, Neath Abbey Wharf, Skewen, can confirm it is that of missing person, Richard Andrews.
Mr Andrews, who was from the Melyn area of Neath and was known locally as Monkey, was reported missing to South Wales Police in January of 2018.
Officers have been investigating the circumstances of his disappearance since.
His body was discovered by a member of the public on Saturday, September 29th. His family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
Enquiries in to the circumstances of the death are ongoing, and officers are continuing to appeal for the public’s helps to piece together Mr Andrews’ movements from the time he went missing until the time his body was found.
