A group of 9 young people from Pembrokeshire are set to receive an award at The Prince’s Trust and TK Maxx & Homesense Awards, Wales. They will scoop the Dell EMC Community Impact Award at the ceremony, to be held on the 18th October at the National Museum Cardiff.
The Prince’s Trust and TK Maxx & Homesense Awards recognise the achievements of young people in Wales who have succeeded against the odds, improved their chances in life, and had a positive impact on their local community, as well as those who have played a part in supporting the work of The Trust.
Members of the Pembrokeshire College Team programme were approached by the local High Sheriff about carrying out a community project during the 12-week programme. They transformed an unsafe pathway at a local care home into a fully accessible 200m walk route. The residents were so pleased, and now have the ability to enjoy their daily exercise.
