Appeal for witnesses to alleged incident on train
Officers are appealing for anyone who might have witnessed a dispute between two passengers on a train on Friday, October the 5th to make contact with them.
An incident reportedly took place on the 23.15 Arriva Trains Wales service from Cardiff Central to Fishguard Harbour, via Llanharan.
South Wales Police want to speak to anyone who saw or heard a dispute on the train that evening, during which a passenger was allegedly verbally abused.
One of the passengers allegedly involved in this incident is believed to have got off at Llanharan after its arrival there at around 23.40. The service in question originated at Manchester Piccadilly at 19.31. After leaving Cardiff Central it was also scheduled to stop at Pontyclun at 23.29.
Friday, October the 5th, the night in question, was the day before Swansea City played at home against Ipswich Town and was the weekend of the Cardiff Half Marathon, which took place that Sunday.
Anyone who can provide any information is asked to call South Wales Police on 101, quoting reference 1800386027.
