Well, the festive season is coming close to us,
This is the time when we all start to fuss.
So to all those who reside behind Llanelli’s’ doors,
And the ex-pats who have left our shores,
Not forgetting them who’ve only moved a midge,
Even the ones who have crossed the bridge,
Can you remember when we went to chapel and church,
Then off to the pub before staggering home with a lurch
To a dinner lovingly prepared by your special one,
After which came those silly games, oh such fun.
Sitting bored listening to the annual Queens Speech,
Furtively groping for the can of bitter just out of reach.
But that was then, we’ve moved on from there,
We’re in the Computer Age, or so I’m told,
So I’m going to behave and be as good as gold.
As its that time of the year I have something to say,
And I really do mean it, I do, okay!
Therefore my fellow Sosbanites, the salt of the earth,
Xmas greetings, you’re all above any intrinsic worth!
