Five charged with Class A drugs offences
Following a series of arrests last week in the Newport, Caerphilly and Cardiff areas, Police Officers from Tarian, the Regional Organised Crime Unit, supported by South Wales and Gwent Police have carried out further arrests in Cardiff, Newport, Caerphilly and Liverpool.
Five people were arrested on Tuesday (December 4th) and have been charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs. They will appear before Cardiff and Newport Magistrates’ today.
Those charged are:
Mohammed Youssef Ali, 30, from Ely, Cardiff;
Ryan Gifford, 36, from Caerphilly;
Dominik Serafin, 21, from Newport;
Jan Serafin, 26, from Newport;
Harri Pullen, 20, from Bettws.
All five will appear before Newport Magistrates’ Court today.
A sixth man, aged 26, from Newport has been released under investigation.
Detective Inspector Andy Bartholomew from Tarian said:
“The latest arrests form part of an investigation into the criminal activities of an organised crime group responsible for the distribution of large amounts of class A drugs from the North West of England into South Wales.”
