Making a Difference/Gwneud Gwahaniaeth

Thank you to the committee from the Trust for sick children in Wales for coming to Cilgerran children’s ward, Glangwili General Hospital to present a donation of £10,000.

The presentation was made by its Carmarthenshire Chairman, Gethin Lewis MBE, accompanied by Secretary, David Harris, and Rotarian Mrs Eirwen Williams JP to Senior Nurse, Janet Millward and Play Assistant Rachel Brown.

The generous donation will be used to provide additional therapeutic activities for the play service as well as purchasing equipment for children undergoing treatment as well as purchasing additional chair beds for parents wishing to stay with their children in inpatient unit.

Senior Nurse Janet Millward said:

“The paediatric team are so grateful for this donation to us locally from the Carmarthenshire group of Trust for sick children and it will really make a difference to the unit.”

Bydd y cyfraniad hael hwn yn cael ei ddefnyddio er mwyn cynnal rhagor o weithgareddau therapiwtig yn y gwasanaeth chwarae ynghyd â prynu cadeiriau esmwyth i rieni sydd yn dymuno aros gyda’u plant.
