MAN CHARGED WITH MURDER OF 46-YEAR-OLD LANA JAYNE OWEN
Philip George Andrews, 51, from Miskin Road in Trealaw, Tonypandy appeared at Cardiff Crown Court today (December 21) charged with the murder of a 46-year-old Lana Jayne Owen, also from Trealaw.
Andrews was arrested on Wednesday the 19th of December and taken to Merthyr Tydfil police station. He has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance in the new year.
At this time, South Wales Police is not looking for anyone else in connection with this investigation.
Lana’s family said:
“We as a family are devastated by the tragic loss of our mother Lana, she got herself through her lowest and got taken from us at her best. She was a big hearted woman full of energy and very bubbly. She’d talk to anyone and everyone and do anything for anyone, she was a loving mother, sister, auntie, niece, sister-in-law and a great friend she will be missed by all.”
The family have asked for privacy at this time.
