Pwllheli holiday park investment creates over 100 new jobs

Haven-owned coastal holiday park, Hafan y Môr, is currently recruiting over 100 new team members in areas such as food and beverage, security, activities and leisure, and accommodation, as a result of exciting multi-million-pound developments at the park.

The new roles at Gwynedd’s largest employer come after a recent announcement that Haven will be investing almost £100million across its parks over the winter period. Hafan y Môr Holiday Park has been selected as one of five parks to trial innovative new concepts such as an outdoor adventure area and a brand-new dining experience.

Andrew Baker, General Manager at Hafan y Môr Holiday Park said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to work for The Sunday Times’ Sixth Best Big Company to Work For. Joining Haven will give you countless chances to learn, excellent training and our full support to gain qualifications. We’re excited to welcome more bright and breezy people to our team to help us to delight our holidaymakers and owners.”

The Coast House, which is replacing the current restaurant to bring multiple dining experiences under one roof, has created 60 jobs. Front of house roles include bar tenders, waiting team and hosts, whilst line chefs, pizza chefs, prep chefs and kitchen porters will be recruited to work in the new kitchens.

As well as a family-friendly restaurant, The Coast House will include a pub, new coffee and cake offer, and ‘The Pizza Deck’, which will make finding the perfect dish a breeze.

Part of the winter investment will go towards renovating the holiday park’s current outdoor activity area to introduce a brand new all-action, multi-functional zone known as ‘Dragon Lakes Adventure Village’. As a result of this, there will be 60 new jobs, 30 of which will be activity and leisure team members required to support the new development, as well as 30 lifeguards for the swimming pool which recently received a £3million refurbishment. There will also be more vacancies for the peak school summer holiday period.

Other roles will be available across the entertainment venue and main complex, on-site shop, reception, and in the security, accommodation and grounds teams.

Hafan y Môr Holiday Park will be hosting open days for The Coast House on Saturday the 9th and Sunday the 10th of February. To register your interest, call 07437189282 or email kevin.harkin@haven.com
