Police appeal: Serious assault on Garnswllt Road
Police in Swansea are investigating a serious assault which happened at around 8.15am on Wednesday the 9th January on Garnswllt Road, Pontarddulais.
A 72-year-old local woman was assaulted at her home. As a result of the incident the victim has been taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff where she is in a critical but stable condition.
Detectives investigating the incident are appealing to anyone who may have seen someone behaving suspiciously in the area of Garnswllt Road or anyone who may have been travelling through the area and have any dash-cam footage to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Carl Price of Swansea CID said: “This was a very serious incident which has left the victim in a critical condition in hospital and we are appealing for anyone with any information which may help us in finding whoever may be responsible to contact us.
“I would like to reassure local residents that we have increased patrols in the area and will do all we can to catch whoever is responsible.”
