The Missing Kind, a UK registered charity, is creating a global network of social enterprise venues through which to deliver a multitude of social impact projects. One of which is the care of neglected and abused animals (non-domestic); a sustainable care sanctuary and Animal Assisted Therapy centre at ‘KindaVillage’, our beautiful 80 acre farm near Pencader, in Wales.
Hugh Callacher, the charity’s founder, says, “the rescue centre was always a key part of the KindaVillage concept, to compliment our people care and recovery programmes, and is a perfect location for animal
care and rejuvenation. There is a wealth of sympathy for neglected household pets, but little for those in service to the leisure, entertainment and food industries.
We are actively seeking individuals or partner organisations who have a passion for animal welfare; those who may either have an existing facility which they wish to extend or relocate, or the experience, passion and contacts to start one.
We believe in creating sustainable social enterprises to support ongoing social impact and so we would be keen to hear from anyone who believes they have a workable business model they would like to develop in partnership with our support.” Mr Callacher advised that preference will be given to those offering Animal Assisted Therapy as part of their model.
