Recent research has shown quite a bit,
Especially some history that doesn’t fit.
For instance Buffalo Bill was a Llanelli lad,
But don’t tell the Yanks because it makes them mad!
Count Bismark in the Thomas Arms was born
In the early hours of a summer’s morn.
He went on to become one of Germanys great
But still ate his food off a Whampoa plate!
Georgie Best was Irish, at least that’s what is said,
If he hadn’t been spirited away he’d have worn a jersey of red,
Because this footballer whose talent rose and soared
First saw the light of day in good old Station Road!
Long John Silver of pirate and buccaneer fame,
Well, his parents from the Morfa came.
They even spoke in our Welsh tongue
Alas Long John from the gallows swung!
But perhaps the greatest surprise of all,
Is who was born behind the old market hall.
The best kept secret, one that shouldn’t leak,
Is the queens husband, yes, Phil the Greek!
I know that all this is true and not a pack of lies,
It was revealed to me by one who’s very wise.
Mind you, he was anything but calm
Before they took him away to the Funny Farm!
