Operation Timmia – renewed appeal for information

Operation Timmia suspects

Detectives investigating spates of burglaries across Swansea, Neath and Port Talbot are continuing to appeal for information in relation to the whereabouts of five suspects.

Seven people were arrested following a series of raids in the Swansea area last week and are currently on bail with stringent conditions while enquiries continue.

Officers are now working with forces throughout the UK to locate Daniel Casey, 27; Terrence Casey, 19; Michael Casey, 18; Patrick Joyce, 20; and Christopher Harty, 18.

Crimestoppers has also issued a reminder to the public that they offer cash rewards of up to £1,000 for information leading to the arrest and charge of people responsible for a crime.

South Wales Police

Detective Inspector Dave Peart said:

“The public have been overwhelmingly supportive of the work carried out as part of Operation Timmia, and I would like to assure them that my team and I are continuing to work around-the-clock to bring those responsible for these burglaries to justice.

“I would appeal to the public to continue working with us, by reporting any sightings of the outstanding suspects or any information which might help us to locate them.

“I’d also urge the public to look through the gallery of items believed stolen and recovered during the investigation, and to contact us via 101 quoting ‘Operation Timmia’ or 1800300011.”

Ella Rabaiotti, National Manager for Crimestoppers Wales, added:

“I’d like to remind the community that you can give information 100% anonymously about crime and wanted individuals, to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or through our anonymous online form at Crimestoppers-uk.org.

“Crimestoppers also offer cash rewards of up to £1000 if the information you give us leads to the arrest and charge of the person or people responsible for crime.”
