Jack Savoretti wowed a packed crowd at Annabels last week with songs from his new album ‘Singing For Strangers’. Featuring a co-write with Bob Dylan and recorded at Ennio Moriccone’s studio in Rome, the album promises to be the best of his career. The UK’s biggest breakout star of 2018, Tom Walker, has been nominated for an incredible two BRITs including British Breakthrough Act and British Single (Leave a Light On). Tom releases his highly anticipated debut album, ‘What A Time To Be Alive’, on March 1st.

Ireland’s hottest musical export in decades, Picture This, release their eagerly anticipated, Imagine Dragons influenced, new album ‘MDRN LV’ March 15th. The band have sold over 300k tickets to date and will also be the first act ever to play 5 nights at 3arena in Dublin (U2 – 4 nights, Adele – 3 nights)! They play four SOLD OUT UK shows in March (including O2 Kentish Town Forum on March 19th). Stay tuned for more UK dates to be announced shortly.

Founding member and guitarist of The Killers, Dave Keuning, releases his debut album ‘Prismism’ today. After a sold out show at Dingwalls before Xmas, Dave should be back on these shores for more UK dates shortly. Watch the new video for ‘The Queen’s Finest’ HERE.

After 5 long years, Avril Lavigne makes a welcome comeback with the release of her sixth studio album ‘Head Above Water’ on February 15th. Originally released as a Paddy McAloon solo album in 2003, Prefab Sprout re-release ‘I Trawl The Megahertz’ on February 1st. Compromised of nine compositions including the lengthy 22 minute title track, this classic re-release is definitely not one to be missed.

Four-time Grammy Award-winning artist Joy Williams (Civil Wars) releases her brilliant new solo album, ‘Front Porch’, May 3rd. After selling over 40 million albums, Dido releases her stunning new single ‘Give You Up’, taken from her first album in five years, ‘Still On My Mind’, out March 8th. Check it out HERE. She plays two unmissable shows at the Roundhouse on 30th and 31st May.

Rising UK stars Ward Thomas (24 year old twin sisters Catherine and Lizzy) release their latest album ‘Restless Minds’ on February 8th. The follow up to their No.1 album ‘Cartwheels’, this wonderful new record’s lyrics deals with young women living in this climate of social media and their current single ‘No Filter’ is currently on the Radio 2 A List. The duo play O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire 3rd April.

Grammy-nominated artist Mike Posner released his third album, ‘A Real Good Kid’, last week. Mike emerges as a musician and storyteller, finding in his melodies and lyrics that beginnings always do hide themselves in ends. Listen to the fab new album HERE.

Kelsea Ballerini this week released the deluxe edition of her sophomore album, ‘Unapologetically’. The album, produced by Forest Glen Whitehead and Jason Massey, features five new songs: ‘Fun and Games’, ‘I Think I Fell In Love Today’, a live cover of Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Landsllide’, ‘This Feeling’ and upbeat new single ‘Miss Me More’. Award-winning singer-songwriter Ryan Bingham will release his gorgeous sixth studio album ‘American Love Song’ on February 15th. One of America’s most distinct voices delves deep into painful memories of his youth, showcasing himself as one of America’s hottest talents at the moment. Ryan will play London’s Union Chapel on 26th April.

Tears are not enough… It is with great sadness that MBC say goodbye to Fred Mellor!! After 12 incredible years is he off to work for Chelsea… Well not quite but in sport, and we will miss him enormously. We thank him from the bottom of our hearts!

However, we are very excited to say hello to his brilliant replacement; Ant Giannaccini who will start Feb 4th. He will be on Anthony@mbcpr.com
