Appeal for Witnesses

Fatal Road Traffic Collision, M4 at Junction 45, Ynysforgan off-slip

South Wales Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 19:05 hrs on Sunday the 27th of January 2019 on the M4 off-slip at junction 45, Ynysforgan, Swansea.

A silver coloured Mercedes SLK 200 was involved in the collision, the driver a 54-year-old male died at the scene.

The motorway was closed between junction 46 and 45 for approximately 6 hours to allow for investigation work to be carried out.

South Wales Police would like to thank the community for their patience and understanding during this time.

Police would like to speak with any witnesses to the collision and with any person who may have dash cam footage of the incident or anyone who witnessed the manner of driving of the Mercedes SLK 200 prior to the collision.
