POLICE APPEAL AFTER CARMARTHEN ROBBERY LEAVES WOMAN SHAKEN
Police are appealing for a woman who might have witnessed a robbery in Carmarthen to come forward with information.
Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating a robbery which took place in Park Hall at around 10pm on Monday, January 28.
The victim, a 37-year-old woman, was confronted by the suspect, who is described as around 5’ 9” tall, of slim build and wearing a black face covering up to his eyes.
She was not injured, but was shaken by the incident, and her purse was stolen.
An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and has been released under investigation while further enquiries are carried out.
It is believed that a woman was in the area at the time, and might have seen the male suspect. The potential witness was wearing a light coloured bobble hat, which was possibly grey, and a coat.
T/DC Alex Squires said: “The victim has told officers that a woman walked past.
“We are appealing for this woman, or anyone in the area who might have seen the suspect, to come forward so we can speak to them.
“Any piece of information could be vital in tracing the suspect and bringing them to justice for this offence.
“We are also supporting the victim, who has naturally been left shaken by this incident.”
