Women in Camarthenshire offered career boosting opportunity

Women working in Camarthenshire and the surrounding area are being given the chance to take part in a free, career boosting project run by Chwarae Teg, the Wales based gender equality charity.

The Agile Nation 2 Career Development Programme is a unique and inspirational initiative which helps working women develop knowledge, confidence and skills for team leading or managerial roles. The project is fully funded by the European Social Fund and the Welsh Government and is available to eligible women across Wales.

The dedicated team at Chwarae Teg provides expert coaching, mentoring and accredited training designed to empower women to reach their potential.

So far thousands of women have taken part in Wales and achieved pay rises totalling over £1.5million thanks to their improved skills and confidence.

Emma Richards from Chwarae Teg said:

“We are currently on the lookout for more women from the Camarthenshire area who would be interested in joining the programme. It is a great opportunity for women who are looking to improve their career prospects.

“They will also to become part of a group of like-minded women, sharing experiences and learning in a supportive, confidence-building environment.  Many of our groups form friendships and support networks beyond graduation.”

Claire Hiles, a participant on the programme said:

“Out of the blue, Chwarae Teg has quite literally changed my life, and all for the better. If you’re someone who is tired of not putting yourself first, and wants to further your personal development then sign up right away.”

Women who are interested in taking part should call 0300 365 0445, email an2@chwaraeteg.com or visit www.agilenation2.org.uk/for-women for more information including success stories and eligibility details.
