Llanmorlais School-

Llanmorlais Primary School, built in 1893, sits in a fairly quiet rural area near Penclawdd, Gower. It was known as Cwm-Cynor School until 1897 when it underwent a name change to Llanmorlais and would remain under this title. Unfortunately, the school was closed in 2010 despite much protest and annoyance from the locals and has remained sealed off ever since.

A pleasant location with nice surroundings and atmosphere, the school is in a fairly good condition still, apart from a few smashed windows and rubble deposits here and there. I’m actually surprised it hasn’t been renovated for other use yet!

It was nice seeing things that were left behind, memories and visions of a time long gone. It’s not hard to imagine that these walls and corridors were once a thriving hub of little footsteps running to and from class.
