Alita: Battle Angel is one of the most stunningly beautiful visual effects movies I’ve ever seen. Based in the 26th century where times are tough on the streets, 300 years since the last war, everyone is cybernetically enhanced and Police have been replaced by ruthless bounty hunters called Hunter Warriors.
A doctor named Dyson Edo, while searching through a scrap yard looking for parts to perform fixings for his cyber-enhanced patients, he comes across something truly extraordinary. He discovers the torso of a cybernetic girl and little does he know, what he is about to discover is something that will change things forever.

Watching Rosa Salazar play the role of Alita was an absolute pleasurable experience to see alongside Christoph Walts. From beginning to end, the relationship between the two of them gradually evolved into a surrogate father/daughter relationship. And the emotional journey the two of them embark on is something truly special.
This film, however, does resemble a lot of elements from 2017s Ghost in the Shell movie, which if you ask me isn’t really that surprising since the both of them are originated from the Manga comics. As I said, this is some of the most awesome special effects I’ve ever seen. I love Alita as a character and the rest of the cast are truly amazing. there were moments when I was completely blown away but unfortunately, I didn’t fall in love with the story. It some places it left me thinking, been there, seen that.
Don’t get me wrong, Alita: Battle Angel is an amazing movie. The battle scenes are choreographed to an extent of perfection which left me in complete and total aw, and the chemistry between the actors seemed absolutely right, but the story (in my opinion) could’ve been improved in some areas which is why I give it 8 out of ten.
