This is an informal drop-in event which will enable you to gain access to the award winning station building to see how it has been restored.
Free tea and coffee will be available, and there will be a chance to discuss matters relating to the Heart of Wales Line. Our Association Chairman Brian Dotson, Claire Hickman* of Network Rail will be present, plus Hugh Evans* of Transport for Wales Rail Services.
The event is open to all – not just Association members — but there will be the chance to join! Limited parking is available.

10.14 Train from Swansea arrives
10.30 Welcome and short presentations: Question and Answer session
11.30 Event ends
* Note: Claire and Hugh will only be present at the morning session.
Afternoon:
Amman Valley Railway Society colleagues are kindly offering a room at their 11 Quay Street shop for informal discussions over a cuppa for those not able to be at the morning event. They will have the kettle on from 1.30. HoWLTA representatives will be present until 15.00. Ammanford has an interesting shopping centre (look for the Victorian Arcade especially the book shop) and there are plenty of places for a lunchtime snack.
