Aggravated burglary, Aberavon: Appeal for witnesses

Detectives investigating a burglary in which the occupier was threatened with weapons and had a large amount of money stolen, are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Three men forced their way in to a flat in Vivian Court, Aberavon, at approximately 7pm on Sunday evening (February the 17th), before demanding the money, ransacking the property and fleeing the address.

Detective Sergeant David Connick said: “This was a terrifying ordeal for the occupant of the address and I would appeal to the public to come forward with any information which may assist us in identifying and tracing those responsible as quickly as possible.

“Did you see any of the men approaching the address, or anyone acting suspiciously in the area either prior to or after the incident? Did you see any suspicious vehicles in the area?

“No matter how insignificant it may seem, please come forward as even the smallest of details could prove key to the investigation.”
