Having just announced details of their hugely anticipated new album‘Social Cues’ (April 19th, Columbia Records), Cage The Elephant have confirmed they will play a short run of UK club shows this June. These dates will be the first time the band return to the UK since their triumphant, sold-out show at Brixton Academy in 2017.

2019 looks set to belong to Cage The Elephant, propelled by festival dates in Europe, a co-headline US tour with Beck – who features on ‘Night Running’ one of the stand out tracks from the new album – and driven by big hits check out the Matt Shultz directed video for the album’s first taste ‘Ready To Let Go’ HERE.

Produced by John Hill (Santigold, Florence + The Machine, Portugal. The Man, tUnE-yArDs), ‘Social Cues’ was recorded at Battle Tapes Recording, Blackbird Studio and Sound Emporium in Nashville and The Village Recording Studio in Los Angeles and easily ranks alongside the band’s finest.

The majority of the material on Social Cues was written during the unravelling of Shultz’s relationship. He explains, “it can be a vehicle to act out things that are hard to confront.” He went on to say, “I let images just arise in my mind and wait for it to evoke an emotional response and then when it does, I know I’m on to something. One listen to ‘Social Cues’ and you’ll agree!

Cage The Elephant is vocalist Matt Shultz, rhythm guitarist Brad Shultz, drummer Jared Champion, bassist Daniel Tichenor, lead guitarist Nick Bockrath and keyboardist Matthan Minster.
