Club works with community

The Bryn and Trallwm Club has firmly become the focal point of the local community. The Club organises many community events throughout the calendar including fetes, fayres, discos, pantomimes, trips and many more worthwhile activities. The Club has the community at heart and always strives to support its membership and local community.

The Club is home to the Trallwm Tigers Football Club, Gelli Short Mat Bowls, snooker teams, pool teams, dart teams, pigeon clubs and many more.
The Club provides a base for many local groups and associations including the Llwynhendy and Pemberton Forum. Often the Club is used as a venue to raise money for many charities, groups and local good causes.

This Easter you can expect a free Easter Disco, Easter Bonnet Parade, a Bunnykins Picnic, and a free show on Easter Sunday performed by local band, The Wurlitzers. Ruby Slippers is back by popular demand on Friday April 12th, raising funds for the Surplus Food Distribution Llanelli. Tickets are available from the Club priced at £6 each. The Club are also organising a May Day Fete and a family trip for the Whitsun Bank Holiday.

The Club is also working with the Llwynhendy and Pemberton Forum to combat loneliness and social isolation for elderly residents. Together they have secured funding to hire a minibus to collect elderly residents and take them to play bingo at the Club every Sunday evening. This service is likely to begin towards the end of April.

Club Steward, Councillor Jason Hart said “We are very fortunate to have a great group of volunteers including the staff, committee members, club members and Llwynhendy County Councillor, Sharen Davies. The Club is going from strength to strength and we are very proud and honoured to help our local community. I would like to thank everyone involved and everyone that supports us.”
