A QUESTION!
What is happening in this town of mine,
Why are our morals in such a decline?
Ordinary folk loathe to leave their abode,
Won’t take the risk to walk down the road!
Discarded syringes and other like dross
Left by a scumbag who doesn’t give a toss!
Around every corner, inside every park,
In broad daylight, before its even dark,
Dealers everywhere pushing their packets of stuff,
To eager junkies who can never have enough!
Men armed with guns, machetes and knives,
Seriously threaten our residents lives.
The time has come to clean up each street,
And get the police back onto their beat!
Politicians and counsellors, this question we ask,
Are there funds available for this Herculean task!
