WEN Wales are delighted to be accepting applications for their exciting new project, the WEN Women’s Organisation Mentoring Scheme funded by Rosa, the first and only-UK-wide Women’s fund, who’s main directive is to mobilise resources for women’s rights and equality. The scheme aims to help grass roots organisations, ran by, for and with women, to develop their strategy and ability to grow.
Sarah Sweeney, WEN Mentoring Officer, says “This is a fantastic opportunity for aspirational Women’s groups in Wales, to receive in-depth advice, support and training around key areas of good governance, funding and sustainability.
Rosa UK, state “Every single advancement for women has only ever been achieved by brave women getting informed, coming together, getting organized and taking action to challenge norms and disrupt the status quo, which is why we are incredibly excited and invested in this scheme”
The scheme will match Women’s organisations in Wales, with an income under £100,000 with similar sister organisations in the UK, to share best practice, alongside tailored training sessions, for example on fundraising, and offering access to wider sessions on Welsh Politics and Decision making, Campaigns, Publicity and the WEN Speed Networking event.
If you are in – or know of any Welsh women’s groups, no matter how small, WEN Wales are inviting applications here. DEADLINE TO APPLY IS APRIL 24th.
