Fairtrade Success

Fairtrade Llanelli have successfully achieved official Fairtrade status for the second year running.

The group, which is made of local organisations and the Town and Rural Councils now has two now years grace before they have to apply again.

Tara Fisher of Fairtrade Llanelli said:

“It’s amazing news for Llanelli and we’re so proud that we achieved Fairtrade status again.”

“I’d like to thank everyone who helped make this possible.”

“We still have to continue the work during these two years to make the wonderful Llanelli people more aware of Fairtrade.”

Nia Griffith, Llanelli MP wrote on Facebook to say that she’s ‘delighted that Llanelli is officially a Fairtrade zone for the second year in a row.’

‘Huge thanks to the brilliant Tara Fisher and her interns from Trinity Saint David University for putting in the work and making this happen.’
