This week, Llanelli Town Council passed a motion to record and publish councillor attendance.

The motion was put forward by Labour Group leader, David Darkin.

Of the motion, David said “The Labour Group feels it’s important that the public know more about what the council does. The motion we put forward is long overdue and brings us into line with what other councils have done for many years by publishing attendance online.

This is a great way for the public to see that we’re serving the public as we promised at the last election and for the public to hold to account any councillors with poor attendance records.”
