Pembrokeshire Trust celebrates at Strumble Head lighthouse

The launch of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Trust took place recently at Strumble Head lighthouse.

Over 20 guests and Trustees gathered at Strumble Head and were treated to a walk along the coast with National Park Authority Ranger Ian Meopham and a guided tour of the historical lighthouse.

Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Trust Chair Elsa Davies LVO said, “The breath taking launch location at Strumble Head was a perfect setting for illustrating the important work of the Trust. It brought into focus so many of the key projects that the new Trust is working to fund.”

Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority External Fundraising Manager Jessica Morgan, who is also the Director of the Trust said: “The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Trust was set up to promote the conservation of Pembrokeshire’s stunning landscape and wildlife, enhance its unique and distinctive attributes as well as safeguarding its exceptional qualities for future generations.

“We are currently looking to fundraise £10,000 for our Make More Meadows appeal to help protect and restore the existing meadows in the National Park and work with landowners to create new ones. Meadows are crucial habitats for insects which are essential to pollinate fruits, vegetables and flowers.”

Ymddiriedolaeth Penfro yn dathlu yng ngoleudy Pen-caer

Cafodd Ymddiriedolaeth Parc Cenedlaethol Arfordir Penfro ei lansio yng ngoleudy Pen-caer yn ddiweddar.

Daeth mwy nag ugain o westeion ac ymddiriedolwyr i Ben-caer a chawsom daith ar hyd yr arfordir gyda Pharcmon Awdurdod y Parc Cenedlaethol, Ian Meopham a thaith dywys o amgylch y goleudy hanesyddol.

Dywedodd Cadeirydd Ymddiriedolaeth Parc Cenedlaethol Arfordir Penfro, Elsa Davies LVO, “Roedd lleoliad trawiadol y lansiad ym Mhen-caer yn berffaith ar gyfer dangos gwaith pwysig yr Ymddiriedolaeth. Tynnodd y lansiad sylw at gymaint o’r prosiectau allweddol y mae’r Ymddiriedolaeth newydd yn bwriadu eu hariannu.”

Dywedodd Rheolwr Codi Arian Awdurdod Parc Cenedlaethol Arfordir Penfro, Jessica Morgan, sydd hefyd yn Gyfarwyddwr yr Ymddiriedolaeth: “Cafodd Ymddiriedolaeth Parc Cenedlaethol Arfordir Penfro ei sefydlu i hybu’r gwaith o ddiogelu tirwedd a bywyd gwyllt trawiadol Sir Benfro, gwella ei nodweddion unigryw ac arbennig, yn ogystal â diogelu ei phriodweddau eithriadol ar gyfer cenedlaethau’r dyfodol.

“Ar hyn o bryd, rydym yn bwriadu codi £10,000 tuag at yr apêl Creu Mwy o Ddolydd i helpu i ddiogelu ac adfer y dolydd sy’n bodoli yn y Parc Cenedlaethol ac i weithio gyda thirfeddianwyr i greu dolydd newydd. Mae’r dolydd yn gynefinoedd hollbwysig i drychfilod, sy’n hanfodol i beillio ffrwythau, llysiau a blodau.”
