Three top local business owners shared their roadmaps to success with a packed audience at Carmarthen’s Yr Egin building today.
The ‘Inspired by Entrepreneurs’ workshop featured Deri Reed, renowned local chef and owner of The Warren restaurant, Gruffydd Rees, owner of Mel Gwenyn Gruffydd Honey and Daniel Patterson founder of Highly Ltd.
It was clear throughout the presentations that while the business types differed greatly the consistent message was one of inspiration and support. All three entrepreneurs were able to provide practical advice and real life examples to guide the audience to realise their own business ambitions.
Gruffydd Rees explained how he was able to turn his family hobby into a successful Carmarthenshire honey business with over 70 hives across the country. Deri Reed described how he used a Crowdfunding campaign to raise £20,000 towards starting his restaurant, The Warren. Daniel Patterson, an entrepreneur at heart, shared his understanding of what can lead to success and take your brand to new heights.
Local chef and business owner Deri Reed, The Warren said “It’s been a pleasure to take part in the hubs workshop and share my real life experiences with individuals who are ready to take the plunge. It’s valuable for our community to be aware of the free services, advice and guidance the enterprise hub has to offers new start ups and businesses owners.”
“We are delighted to kick start a series of workshops to help individuals get their business idea off the ground. The weekly workshops are free and provide practical advice for those with a business idea or have already made a start.” Said Hub Manager, Angharad Harding
