Why men should not wear trousers?

I started to wear kilts at open-air metal festival many years ago. It was in the summer, was terrible hot, I’ve found a shop that was selling kilts in the festival area, bought one, put on instead of shorts and realized that the comfort level provided by unbifurcated garment is way better, in my personal feeling, uncomparable better to any kind of trousers.

So, why men wear trousers? It’s a punishment or what? I decided to gather as much informations about this case, every aspect, history, medicine, culture as is possible and implement my new discovery to my daily routine.

Thus, my reason to change was a comfort, however I found even more important reasons. First, the history. We can hear read everyday, skirts are for women trousers for men, from millenias, of course 🙂 Do You know that firts skirt made for woman was shown in Paris in 1822 and caused a scandal? Women in European culture didn’t wear skirts before 1822 at all, every skirt sewn before were made for a man. In opposition, first trousers appeared in Europe were worn by women came from Asia.

The kilt, Scottish as we all know. In fact kilt is older than Scotland, name of this garment, orriginally kjelte means a wrapped skirt, but not in Gaellic, in Old Scandinavian, a language used by famous Vikings. Kilts appeared in Scotland in 17th century, nobody known Old Scandinavian in that times. More, there’s a Gallic Skirt, male checked and pleated skirt used even in recent times in southern France, it’s the same kilt but under different name. Some sources even connecting kilt with ancient Macedonia. It means that kilt was widely used across Europe, it’s our heritage as well as the tunics (I gues much better than trousers too).

So, why men aren’t allowed to wear kilts, tunics or even a modern skirts if were allowed to by several thousands years? Archeology indicates that men started to wear skirts 35 000 years ago and stopped about 200 years ago. Now we have modern world, trousers are modern so we wear them without thinking, and in many other companies. schools trousers are mandatory for men. Pants are modern but not better, are way less comfortable, even less practical, and…

… and medical aspect.

Publication shows connection between heat stress of the testicles and lower fertility, even cites prof Komanje about the advantage of wearing a kilt or sarong (page 17).

Authors focused on fertility (lower spermatogenesis, partially reversible), however mentioned on the last page about the damages in the semen DNA, a real, irreversible danger or public health.

Consequences of the DNA damage (mostly consequences of wearing trousers by a man in fact):

  1. Decreased fertiliity (permanent this time).
  2. Seminoma, a form of tersicular cancer.
  3. Increased risk of genetic diseases among children.
  4. Imposible to repair damage of the human gene pool. Each generation of men wearing trousers adds their own damage, it’s road to the mankind’s extinction.

Also there are some theories, not verified but propable that there are more consequences like hormonal instability leading to prostate problems, baldness, maybe even to high blood preasure and more (if You think that cancer is not strong enough argument to start convincing men to back to our roots in case of clothing).
