A 27-year-old man from Cardiff has been charged with the murder of Asim Khan.
Momodoulamin Saine has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Cardiff Magistratesā Court tomorrow morning (Tuesday, July 23)
Officers were called at approximately 4.50am yesterday (Sunday, July 21) to St Mary Street following reports of an assault.
Mr Khan, 21, was treated by emergency services at the scene and then taken to the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, where he died from his injuries.
His family, who are from Grangetown, have been updated on this eveningās developments and are being supported by family liaison officers.
Detectives are still appealing for information.
