Rumney disturbance: Four more arrests

Police are continuing to investigate an incident in Rumney, Cardiff, on Monday, July 8.

Officers were called to New Road at 6.13pm on Monday following reports of a disturbance between a group of males.

Officers – including armed police – carried out two warrants earlier today at homes in New Road and Hendre Road, Trowbridge.

A 16-year-old boy and two men aged 20 and 22 were arrested in New Road

A 17-year-old boy was arrested in Hendre Road.

All four are in custody.

This brings the total number of arrests related to this incident to 11 – all males, aged 16 to 30.

The seven who were previously arrested are released on conditional bail.

Enquiries are ongoing and anyone who might have witnessed what happened, including those with video footage of what happened, is urged to contact 101 quoting reference *247812.
